PERFECT 10 is thankful to partner with Fielder Park Dental in Arlington and we are glad to feature their team in this Donor Spotlight!
1. Briefly describe your organization
We are a dental practice that is well established in Arlington. We provide a complete range of dental services, from cleanings and fillings to cosmetics and implants, for patients of all ages at our location on Fielder Road.
2. Why is it important for your business to serve others?
As a health care office, we are at our core a service based company. Throughout the company, from Dr Mercer through all of the employees, we are people who desire to improve the lives of the people around us. In order to thrive in our practice, you have to be someone who looks outside of his or her self to serve others. In this office we serve patients from Arlington as well as the entire DFW Metroplex. We also serve overseas on dental mission trips. So serving those in our community who are not affiliated with our practice is a natural fit even outside of our office.
3. What drew you to help PERFECT 10?
For the past decade, Dr. Mercer has had a personal relationship with the founders of Perfect 10, Vernon and Charlene Wells. So, he and his wife have been supporters of Perfect 10 for many years personally. Now, as we continue to find places as a practice serve in our community, it is a perfect fit to team up with Perfect 10. Since they are committed to helping where there is need in Arlington, we are happy to help as well. Also, our patients who live and work in this same community really love the fact that they can help as well.
Dr. Chip Mercer, DDS
4. What do you hope to demonstrate to others by this service?
No matter how bad the situation seems, someone cares about them. We care about people! If God cares about us enough to give the ultimate gift (John 3:16…”for God so loved the world that He GAVE his only son”), then we can never outgive Him. We can know that we are always doing what is right by giving to others (Acts 20:35...”In every way I’ve shown you that by laboring like this, it is necessary to help the weak and to keep in mind the words of the Lord Jesus, for He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'”)
5. What kind of legacy would you like to leave in your community?
We want to leave a legacy that we care about everyone. We are here to meet people’s dental needs. But if in some way we can impact people’s lives in other areas of need, then we want to serve there as well. In partnering with Perfect 10, we are blessed to have the opportunity to help meet the physical needs of precious children who live in our neighborhoods.
Proverbs 19:17 …”whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed.”
