PERFECT 10 had a chance to ask our long-time donors, the Campanella family, a little about their family, goals and service. We’re glad to share their answers with you in this latest Donor Spotlight.

Robert and Lisa Campanella, would you please tell us a little about your family?

Bob has a BA in Mathematics, Grove City College.
He has worked in finance business for 43 years. and has maintained his seniority through many sales of the company he originally began working for in 1973.
Lisa retired from her Development Director position at Covenant Christian Academy in December 2014. Lisa attended Lancaster Bible College before marrying Bob in 1979. She worked for CPA firms in California, before becoming a stay at home mom for 20 years. She returned to the workforce in 2005 at CCA as Assistant Business Manager, before taking the Development Director position in 2007.

We have two children
Rainee Hamilton (30 years old -married 6 years to Zeke Hamilton)
David Campanella (25 years old) – engaged to be married on March 11, 2017 to Haley Padgett
One grandchild Everett Wayne born August 12, 2016 (so brand new)

Aug 22nd

Our goal in raising our children was to teach them first about Christ and then to put Christ first in all that they did. We also led by example in serving Him by serving others. We did this by giving them opportunities to serve with us – by making and taking meals to those sick, cleaning, yard work, helping out those in need, and serving meals on Thanksgiving and Christmas days at the Union Gospel mission in Fort Worth, etc.  (even before gifts were opened on Christmas morning!!)

How would you describe your approach to achieve success in your goals for family/career?

God first in all things: marriage, family, ministry, work. We try to live our lives by:
Colossians 3:23  Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,
1 Corinthians 10:31 So ….whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Why is it important for your family to serve others?

Our desire is to truly serve Christ in all we do and to share His love with others. Everything we have, we own, and we are, is His. It is out of love for Him that we love others.

What drew you to help PERFECT 10?

Knowing the founders, their heart to also share Christ’s love in tangible ways with those who are in need, their humility in giving and serving.  Putting faith into action as James 2:15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

What do you hope to demonstrate to others by this service?

The love of Jesus Christ so that they will be drawn to know Him personally

What kind of legacy would you like to leave for your family?

A legacy of Jesus Christ as Savior and the giver of the ultimate gift and sacrifice –
John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life

Thank you, Campanella family, for giving of your time, talent and treasure to serve others in the name of Jesus Christ!
